In 1997 Verena started her carrier in childcare as a pediatric nurse in Germany. Her devotion was in in-home care with families to assist them with their children but also as a pediatric nurse in a school for children with special needs. Learning while working hand in hand with all kinds of therapists, teachers, doctors, and parents was always her passion. Verena took part of many advanced training classes including Infant Handling, Basal Stimulation, Kinesiology, Baby Massage, Shiatsu, annual Supervision Seminars, Communication classes, Psychology, Intensive Home Care.
When she moved in 2008 to the SF Bay Area she continued supporting families as a special needs nanny until she found out about Doulas while supporting friends with their newborn.
Verena is also a Perinatal Yoga Teacher and is currently working on her Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist certificate.
